The Hon. Mr. Justice S. O Sogbetun (Rtd.), O.F.R, obtained his honours degree in law at the King's College, University of London in 1956 and was called to the Bar in 1958. Before his appointment as a Judge in 1977, Justice Sogbetun was at a time Legal Adviser of the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Director of Public Prosecution of the federation on 1 August, 1975 and later Solicitor‑General and Permanent Secretary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In these capacities he, inter alia, was extensively involved in the negotiation and documentation of several joint ventures, project financings and international business transactions in which the nation was involved. He represented Nigeria in various international conferences including 'Commonwealth Conference of Minister of Finance' as a Legal delegate, 'Drafting Committee of the United Nations Convention on the Representation of States in their relations with International Organisations', the 'United Nations Seminar on Alternatives to Imprisonment', Law of the Sea and several others.
Hon. Mr. Justice Solomon Osobukunola Sogbetun also headed a number of Committees of Inquiries set up by the Federal Government. He was Chairman of the Committee of Inquiries into the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria and that of the Nigeria Produce and Marketing Company. He also headed the panel of West African Examination Council Examination Leakages.
As a brilliant and fearless judge and in recognition of his dedication to public service, the Federal Republic of Nigeria honoured him with the national award of the Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (O.F.R.).
Justice Sogbetun retired from the Bench in December 2, 1988 and has since been a Consultant and Chairman to the Firm.
Kolapo Sogbetun Esq. obtained his honours degree in Economics from the University of Lagos in 1986 and worked for a short while as a trainee accountant. He thereafter started a masters degree in economics in the University of Lagos, before switching to the law faculty in 1987. He finished with an honours degree in 1990, and was called to the bar thereafter.
Experienced in Civil and Criminal Litigation, Kolapo Sogbetun Esq. has also written research papers for presentation at different seminars on Money Laundering and Loot Transfers in the Nigerian Economy, How to repair the Nigerian Economy, Legal and Tax aspects of Venture Capital Investment amongst others. He is the current Executive Director of Network for Youth Development and Transparency Project.and of the Nigerian Current Law Journal.
Kolapo Sogbetun Esq. has attended several Seminars on continuing legal education abroad e.g. Reducing corruption to Zero Level World wide in Oxford, U.K, Negotiation and Drafting of International Commercial Agreement, Loan Syndication: Laws, Procedures and documentation,
Ololade Salami Esq. obtained his honours degree in law at the University of Nigeria Nssuka in 1983. Thereafter, he proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University where he obtained his masters degree in Law in 1986. In 1991, Ololade obtained a certificate in International Law from the International Court of Justice, Hague.
Ololade Salami worked with the firm of Tayo Falode & Co. in Abeokuta and thereafter worked as a graduate assistant at the Ogun State University, Ago‑Iwoye between 1984 and 1986. He was later promoted to and worked as lecturerII at the said University between 1986 and 1988. Between 1988 and 1990, Ololade was engaged in active private practice and from 1990 till date has been a part time lecturer II at the Lagos State University, Law Faculty, Ojo, Badagry.
Olayinka Michael Ilori Esq. obtained an honours degree in Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University and was called to the bar in 1991. Thereafter, he obtained his masters degree in Law at the University of Lagos, Akoka and has since joined the firm.
Moses Osakpamwan Omorogbe Esq. obtained his honours degree in Law at the University of Benin, Benin City in 1993. Thereafter he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Bar in 1994. He later worked with the Law Firm of S.D.N Noragbon Osakue & Co. in Benin City. During his Youth Service he worked with the Litigation Department of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Anambra State. Thereafter he also worked with the Law Firm of Olisaeloka Osuigwe & Co. in Nnewi, Anambra State.
Upon coming back from the East in 1996, Moses Osakpamwan Omorogbe joined this Firm and has since been a vital counsel in Chambers.
Patrick Chukwudi Dunkwu Esq.obtained his honours degree in law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, Osun State, Nigeria. Thereafter he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Bar in 1999. He did his national Youth Service in the law office of Akintoye & Co, Ilorin and thereafter joined the Legal Defence and Assistance Project (LEDAP), a non governmental human rights organisation as a legal officer, where he acquired experience in human rights litigation, human rights information resarch and advocacy. He also worked as an editor with Florence and Lambert, Publishers of the Monthly Judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria before joining the firm.
He has attended several human rights training programes and has also designed and implemented several projects on good governance and human rights.
He is also experienced in general law practice.
Abayomi Showole Esq. obtained his honours degree in Law at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State in 2004. Thereafter, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Bar in the year 2005. He later worked with the Law Firm of Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore in Lagos. He thereafter joined the firm for his Youth Service Corp programme.
Adebayo Olatunji Esq. obtained his honours degree in Law at the University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State in 2004. Thereafter, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in the year 2005. He did his National Youth Service in the Law Office of Patric A. Attabor & Co., Kano State, and also the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, Kano Office, where he had both corporate and general law practice experience. Immediately after the completion of his Youth Service programme, he worked with the Law Firm of Adeboye Olatunji & Co., Akure, Ondo State. He thereafter joined this noble firm of solicitors.
Jafar Abdul-Kadir Esq. obtained his honours degree in Law at the University of Lagos in 2004. Thereafter, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Bar in the year 2005. He did his National Youth Service at Odo-Otin Local Government Secretariat, Okuku, Osun State where he served as Legal adviser/Litigation officer to the Local Government. He was appointed as the Corps Liaison Officer to the Local Government by NYSC Osun State. He undergone a course with the Nigerian Institute of Management and was awarded a Proficiency Certificate in Management. He later worked with the Law Firm of Lanre Ogunlesi & Co. He thereafter joined the firm.
