Patrick obtained his honors degree in law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. Thereafter he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Bar in 1999. He did his national Youth Service in the law office of Akintoye & Co, Ilorin and thereafter joined the Legal Defence and Assistance Project (LEDAP), a non governmental human rights organization as a legal officer, where he acquired experience in human rights litigation, human rights information research and advocacy. He also worked as an editor with Florence and Lambert, Publishers of the Monthly Judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria before joining the firm.
He has attended several human rights training programs and has also designed and implemented several projects on good governance and human rights.
He is also experienced in general law practice.
